Are animals more civil and human while humans are becoming more primal and beastly?

In A Bubble Poem

Watching the shenanigans in the world today I can’t help but think we are just a bunch of animals. It is so disturbing to see the domination, fighting and killing. Animals can coexist in a kingdom, fighting for territorial rights and killing for food (basic survival) which seems to make a heck of a lot of sense over the insanity of humans fighting because of the colour of one’s skin, religious beliefs or just because their view of the world isn’t the same as ours.

It is shameful and painful. I just want to float in a bubble looking for rainbows and unicorns. On the other hand, I hear the call of responsibility to choose thoughts and behaviour that are rooted in love, compassion, acceptance and service to others with out discrimination. We need to be agents of positive change. As the late Stephen Covey stated, “We need to seek to understand and look for win-win solutions.”
